"Deacons, likewise, are to be men worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine,
and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with
a clear conscience. 10They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing
against them, let them serve as deacons. In the same way, their wives[b] are to be
women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in
everything. A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children
and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and
great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus." I Timothy 3:8-12
"And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a
murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected
in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples
unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve
tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the
Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business." Acts 6:1-3
On February 13, 2005, Coliseum Boulevard Church of Christ installed its first Deacons.
Each of our Deacons is responsible for a specific ministry within our congregation.
Keith Crosby was baptized into Christ in May of 1998 at Triad Church of Christ in
Greensboro, North Carolina. He is married to T. Gayle Crosby and has 2 sons, Brandon
Spruill & Carlos Riddick and 2 daughters, Kristin & Kassidy Crosby. Keith presides over
the Christian Activities & Finance Ministries within our congregation.
Henry "Hank" Wall was baptized into Christ in June 1957 at Olga Avenue Church of Christ
in High Point, North Carolina. He is married to Alice Wall and has a son, Chiekah, a
daughter, Ayana and a granddaughter, Maliyah. Hank is a former deacon of Olga Avenue
Church of Christ in High Point, North Carolina. Hank presides over the Material Affairs
ministry within our congregation.
